The bridge on Bud Umphrey Road over Bristow Creek is currently under construction, with work scheduled to be completed in spring of 2014. The bridge replacement is being
funded utilizing Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program (ATRIP) and local funds. Vehicles should currently detour utilizing Fairview Cove Road, Highway 278, Murphree Valley Road, and Bristow Cove Road.
