RSVP Director, Traci Pondick

Mrs. Pondick has been employed full time since 1986, 20 of those years were at Sears in the Gadsden Mall, working mainly in the office and Children’s Dept. She has been with RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) of Etowah County since January, 2006 as the Secretary/Bookkeeper until October 2007 when she became Director.

Traci currently lives in Rainbow City and is married to Marc Pondick. They have one son, Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Pondick have owned Sutton Bridge Exxon since 2000. As the RSVP Director, Traci manages grant funds and the RSVP budget, supervises staff, recruits volunteers and agencies for the program, and performs various public relations duties. RSVP Administrative Assistant/ Reading Buddy Coordinator,
Rachel Wood

Mrs. Wood has been working for Etowah County since 2019 and transferred to RSVP in December of 2021. She keeps our office running smoothly. She records all of our volunteer hours, helps with organizing events, and she is more than likely the voice you hear when you call our office. She is also the reading buddy coordinator. She helps recruit volunteers and gets them assigned to our local elementary schools.

Rachel lives in Hokes Bluff with her husband together they have six children. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, working in her gardens at home.   She also has a passion for cooking, decorating, food preserving, and loves working with the public. She is also an active member in her church.  Rachel began volunteering with her family at the age of three and has continued to this present time. She attended Boise State University for Secondary Education in History minoring in International Relations and Literature.
