VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINES

For the June 1st Primary Election (All State, Federal, and County)

Sample Ballots
On Election Day you will choose either a Republican or Democratic Ballot
May 21st Voter registration deadline.
May 27th Last day for voter to make application for absentee ballots.
May 31st Last day for voter to hand-deliver or postmark absentee ballots.

For the July 13th Primary Runoff Election (If Necessary)

July 2nd Voter registration deadline.
July 8th Last day for voter to make application for absentee ballots.
July 12th Last day for voter to hand-deliver or postmark absentee ballots.

For the November 2nd General Election

October 22nd Voter registration deadline.
October 28th Last day for voter to make application for absentee ballots.
November 1st Last day for voter to hand-deliver or postmark absentee ballots.

Please note that you must be registered by the close of registration prior to an election if you wish to vote on election day.

  • Public Libraries
  • Department of Human Resources' Public Assistance Offices (WICS, DFACS)
  • Other offices serving the disabled
  • Recruitment Offices
  • County courthouses and city halls
  • Colleges and high schools for students and personnel

TO REGISTER TO VOTE YOU MUST:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a resident of the county in which you register
  • Be a citizen of the United States
  • Not be serving a sentence for a conviction of a felony involving moral turpitude
  • Not have been adjudicated mentally incompetent

A Voter ID Card is Mailed to the applicant once the voter registration application is approved. If you do not receive your card within 2-3 weeks, please contact the registration offices.
