Born, DeKalb County, Alabama, and grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Married to the former Belinda Terrell and father of two sons and one daughter.
Member for fifty years of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter, Gadsden, serving three, four-year terms on the vestry and currently serving as Lector and choir member.
Served four years in the U.S. Air Force as Medical Services Specialist.
Graduated from Baroness Erlanger Hospital respiratory therapy program, Gadsden State Community College and Jacksonville State University. Serves on JSU Board of Visitors, College of Business and Commerce. Did graduate work at JSU and Central Michigan University.
Established respiratory therapy department at Baptist Memorial Hospital in 1965. Grew this into five departments during sixteen years employment. Retired as Director of Cardiopulmonary Services.
Incorporated Respiratory Services, Inc./Fuller Medical Company in 1974. Served as President/CEO until selling company in May, 2014.
Past President of Alabama Durable Medical Equipment Association.
Past Chairman of Alabama Board of Home Medical Equipment Providers, appointed by Governor Don Siegleman and twice by Governor Bob Riley. Served 12 years.
Graduate of Leadership Gadsden, and President of Downtown Gadsden, Inc., 1985.
Served on Gadsden/Etowah Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee.
Elected to Gadsden’s first City Council in 1986.
Served on Gadsden Planning Commission on two separate occasions.
Served several terms on Alabama State Republican Executive Committee. Currently serving as Vice Chair/Elections, Etowah County Republican Executive Committee.
