Steele Station Road - Bridge Replacement
The bridge on Steele Station Road over Rook Creek is currently
scheduled to be let to contract in May 2013. The current bridge is posted for a nine ton weight limit. The bridge replacement is being
funded utilizing Metropolitan Planning Organization and local funds.
Bud Umphrey Road - Bridge Replacement
The bridge on Bud Umphrey Road over Bristow Creek is currently scheduled to be replaced in 2013. The current bridge is posted for a three ton weight limit. The bridge replacement is being funded utilizing Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program (ATRIP) and local funds. The replacement will eliminate a detour of several miles for vehicles over the posted weight
Wesson Gap Road - Bridge Replacement
The bridge on Wesson Gap Road over Big Wills Creek is currently scheduled to be replaced in 2013. The current bridge was closed after a failure of the steel truss section. The bridge replacement is being funded utilizing Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program (ATRIP) and local funds.
